2011 KAT-TUN concert tour to be full
of worldwide surprises
Outdoor concerts in Japan, the first
Johnny ’s concert in Hawaii, more
concerts in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand,
and China, KAT-TUN ’s 5th anniversary
tour is set to be bigger than ever, reports
Sports Hochi.
The group’s 2011 concert tour will focus
on the number “5″. The five members
will celebrate the group’s fifth
anniversary and tour around five locations
in Japan from spring to summer, followed
by five international venues from autumn.
It has been reported that the concerts will
not be held in a traditional concert hall or
stadium, but at outdoor complex venues
with different surprises at each city.
KAT-TUN will be the first Johnny’s group
to hold a formal concert in Hawaii, and will
also be able to visit Thailand, where they
were not able to visit this year because of
the country ’s political activity.
At a press conference held before their
Taiwan concert yesterday, Kamenashi
talked about performing without Jin
Akanishi (25).
“The responsibility we feel as a group has
grown stronger, and we can talk openly
about which way we want KAT-TUN to
go, ” he said.
Koki Tanaka (24) had said the group’s
bond had gotten stronger as well.
“I was worried at first, but after seeing
how the fans and staff were cheering us
on, it got my act together.
“When the five of us go out to eat, talk
about what we want to do with KAT-TUN
comes out naturally, ” he said.
While Akanishi has not made formal
appearance announcing his retirement
from the group, Yuichi Nakamaru (27) said
they had had dinner together.
“He told us he was sorry for the trouble
he had caused,” he said.
Tanaka added the two had their own goals.
“It’s not that we hate him now. We
just hope that both of us can succeed in
our own ways, ” he said.
